| Q. How Old Do I Need To Be To Be Able To Train?
A. We run classes from 6 years to adult. Q. What Do I Need To Wear? A. Tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt to start with. Q. Are The Instructors Registered? A. Yes all of the instructors are registered with the British Martial Arts Federation and ae CRB checked for childrens classes. Q. Can Females Train? A. Females are more than welcome to train. Q. Do I Need Insurance? A. Yes you will be required to apply for a license after a few training sessions, this license will be your insurance. Q. I Already Have A Belt In Ju-Jitsu From A Different Club Not Connected To The South West Ju-Jitsu, Can I Carry On With The South West Ju-Jitsu From My Current Belt? A. You maybe assessed on various techniques from our syllabus to see how different your syllabus is from South West Ju-Jitsu's. Q. How Often Will I Be Grading? A. That all depends on how committed you are to training, the more you train the quicker you will grade. Q. Who Does The Gradings And Where? A. The club Sensei will do the gradings at the local club you attend but only to brown belt, after brown belt you will be required to grade for Dan grades at the Plymouth Ju-Jitsu Headquaters in Plymouth. Q. Is It Expensive? A. No its not expensive, once you've bought your gi (training outfit) and license it is reasonably cheap, you can get a gi and license bought through the club for around £50, then all you have to pay for is your sessions and gradings. Q. What Happens If I Cant Do A Particular Technique? A. We will do our best to help you achieve the particular technique, if not we will get you to practice another way of doing it. Q.
